How much damage could be done in California earthquake?

The California National Guard said Monday it will begin an investigation into the magnitude-9.0 earthquake that struck the state on Sunday.
The National Weather Service said the quake was felt by about 2,300 people.
It was the second earthquake to strike California in less than two weeks.
The first occurred Aug. 5, when a 7.0-magnitude quake shook the region for two hours.
More than 10,000 people were injured in that quake.
